Updated: March 20, 2021 07:33 Xinhua

BEIJING — China will further strengthen criminal punishments on intellectual property rights (IPR) violations, according to a notification published by the National Intellectual Property Administration.

The notification called for more efforts to crack down on malicious trademark filings, unqualified patent agents, and forging or altering legal documents or seals.

China has launched a series of actions nationwide since 2019 to strengthen supervision on IPR protection.
