BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials on March 19.

Li Yulu and Zhao Changhua were appointed deputy head of the National Immigration Administration.

Lu Xinning was appointed deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Bao Xinhe will continue to hold the post as president of the University of Science and Technology of China.

Xiang Zhaolun was removed from the post of vice-minister of culture and tourism.
