Premier Li Keqiang joins a group deliberation of deputies from South China’s Guangdong province to the annual session of the National People’s Congress on March 9.
During the discussion, Zhong Nanshan, a respiratory expert and a deputy from province, said people should learn the dangers of smog pollution and proposed making a quality standard for air purifiers.
Premier Li said the government should not only be concerned about employment and income for people, but also promote environmental protection to guarantee people’s health. He said health is also productivity. Energy saving and environmental protection is a large industry, which is beneficial to the economy if it is well developed.
