Premier Li Keqiang joined a panel discussion with deputies from Northeast China’s Liaoning province at the first session of the 13th National People’s Congress in Beijing on March 8.

Tang Yijun, governor of Liaoning province, expressed the hope that the State Council will continue to support the opening-up and development strategy of Liaoning coastal economic belt.

Premier Li said that Liaoning province is the only coastal province in Northeast China, with a 2,000-kilometre coastline.

The Premier expressed the hope that Liaoning province will further liberate minds, deepen reform, and expand opening-up.

The province should focus on coastal economic belt to vitalize an open platform, and support the development of Northeast China and regional strategy, he said.
