Premier Li Keqiang inspected the State Taxation Administration on March 21, where he spoke to grassroots staffers at the taxation bureau in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province, by video after hearing a report on statistics accounting of tax reductions demonstrated by big data cloud platform.
Noting the larger-scale tax cuts set in this year’s Government Work Report, the Premier said that tax authorities, especially grassroots tax officers, who serve as the specific operators of the policy, must work to accomplish the tough tasks in cutting taxes.
“We should make sure that dividends from the deepened VAT reform really benefit millions of taxpayers, and that millions of market players have a real sense of gain,” he said.
