Premier Li Keqiang met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on April 28.
The Premier said that China and Cambodia have a deep traditional friendship. As a friendly neighbor, China is glad to deepen political mutual trust with Cambodia, propel bilateral pragmatic cooperation in all fields, and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and a community of common destiny with strategic significance, promoting bilateral relations to a higher level, he added.
He said that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Cambodia, and supports its diversified development.
Premier Li said China encourages its enterprises to invest in Cambodia, and is also willing to increase imports of Cambodian agricultural products. China will make efforts to support Cambodia to host the 2020 Asia-Europe Meeting, he added.
Hun Sen extended his congratulations to the success of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and his appreciation for China’s long-term support and help to Cambodia.
He said his country is glad to link its “Four-Corners Strategy” with BRI, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to increase their investment in Cambodia, to jointly build the community of common destiny.
After the meeting, Premier Li and Hun Sen witnessed the signing of an action plan to build the community of common destiny between China-Cambodia, and multiple documents on bilateral cooperation in production capacity, customs, trade and agriculture.
