BEIJING — The National Health Commission said on Sept 29 that 13 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Sept 28.

There were 184 patients still being treated, the commission said in its daily report.

Altogether 80,566 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by Sept 28, the report said.

As of Sept 28, a total of 85,384 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, among whom 4,634 died of the disease.
