State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi called on the country's police team to forge good Party conduct, deepen anti-corruption work, and strengthen clean governance to fulfill the new era’s tasks with a solid disciplinary foundation.

Zhao was speaking at a national meeting of public security organs via video link on Feb 8.

The police force must be constructed and managed through political building and uphold the Party's absolute leadership, Zhao said, adding that combating corruption requires faith and determination.

He called for focus on the pressing issues to promote integrity, and stressed enhancing strict regulation on police organs to build a characteristic pattern of oversight among the police force.
