BEIJING — The wholesale prices of China's agricultural products dipped on Nov 11, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
The latest China agricultural product wholesale price index came in at 117.35, down 0.35 points from Nov 10.
By 2 pm of Nov 11, the average wholesale price of pork, a staple meat in China, went up 0.2 percent to 39.32 yuan (about $5.95) per kilogram, and that of eggs slipped 0.3 percent to 7.8 yuan per kilogram.
The average wholesale prices of 28 key types of vegetables tracked by the government declined 0.4 percent compared with that of Nov 10, while that of six different types of fruits lost 1.3 percent.
The wholesale price index is compiled on the basis of data collected from around 200 agricultural wholesale markets and is updated daily based on the weighted average of price indices for goods including vegetables, fruits, aquatic products, livestock products, cereals and edible vegetable oil.
