The General Office of the State Council issued a circular on June 26 concerning the responsibilities of the State Council’s departments and local governments to boost employment and entrepreneurship.
The circular serves as a plan and timetable detailing how the State Council’s previous opinion on promoting employment and entrepreneurship - that was issued on May 1 - should be carried out.
The circular issued on June 26 requires departments to allocate responsibilities and plan feasible measures which should be implemented gradually.
If a task involves more than one department, the leading department shall assume the role of coordinator, and supporting departments are required to work closely with this leading department.
Local governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities shall organize, implement, and push forward these tasks - and ensure the effective implementation of the policies.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security will follow, analyze, coordinate and inspect the implementation of the plan, and shall report to the State Council if it uncovers any major issues.
