The General Office of the State Council has approved the establishment of a joint inter-ministerial conference system to promote mass entrepreneurship and innovation, according to a document released on Aug 20.
The conference system, to be led by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), aims to help supervise the implementation of a State Council guideline - concerning policies and measures to push forward mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and tackle problems during the implementation process.
It will involve more than 20 departments and institutions and be headquartered at the NDRC, aiming to help the authorities to coordinate communication and cooperation, related to the guideline, among departments, local governments and the public.
The authorities taking part in the system are required to report to the State Council about their progress concerning the implementation work and make suggestions.
One or two plenary sessions will be held each year and impromptu meetings can be organized whenever required.
