The State Council has approved the establishment of an inter-ministerial conference system on China’s exhibition industry to promote the development and reform of the sector.
The group’s brief will be to reinforce the establishment and implementation of the sector’s development strategy, plans, policies and regulations, said a State Council statement on Sept 30.
It will also help promote the industry to be more market-oriented, professional, internationalized, branding and information-based within China.
The organization will involve 14 ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, State Administration for Industry and Commerce and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
