To better implement the government work report of this year, the State Council issued a guideline assigning tasks to different government departments with specific quantitative targets.
The guideline urged relevant departments to attach importance to the tasks of quantitative index. Those involving multiple departments should be coordinated by the lead department in charge, and for those that need to be implemented separately by provinces, tasks should be assigned accordingly, along with strengthened guidance and coordination.
Relevant departments are also urged to submit timely reports on the progress of their tasks as required, including specific amounts, completion rate and provincial statistics, to the supervision office and secretary office of the State Council.
The general office of the State Council will beef up tracking supervision and regularly summarize the implementation of tasks.
The National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology are among the government departments to be assigned with quantitative tasks concerning the Consumer Price Index, deficit budget and local bonds, renovation of shantytowns as well as financial assistance for medical insurance.
