The State Council issued an approval to construct a civil airport in Chenzhou, Hunan province.

The new airport will be a 4-C standard domestic feeder-line airport, with a new runway of 2,600 meters. By 2025, passenger throughput should reach 550,000, while cargo throughput is expected to reach 3,000 tons. The new terminal will cover an area of 6,000 square meters, and total investment for the project will exceed 1.82 billion yuan.
