The State Council on Dec 13 approved a proposal made by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology to establish a National Science and Technology Workers Day. From 2017, every May 30 will be celebrated as National Science and Technology Workers Day.

Specific work should be implemented by the Ministry of Science and Technology and related departments.
