The State Council has approved the national economy accounting system for 2016 to be implemented by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The State Council asked the NBS to carry out innovation, draw from international experience, launch management reform, and strengthen authority and authenticity, to promote modern governance and economic development.

The NBS should enhance tracking and analysis and promptly solve problems in implementing the accounting system.

Items on accounting methods reforms should be submitted to the State Council for approval.

All related central departments should maintain coordination and information sharing, offer financial statistics, business statistics and administrative records in time, and reform the statistical system in their sectors in line with the accounting system.

Local governments should push forward implementation of the system earnestly.
