The State Council issued a notice on Aug 2 announcing the reshuffle of the leading group that deals with climate change, saving energy and cutting pollutant emissions.

Premier Li Keqiang was appointed the group leader. Vice-Premier Han Zheng and State Councilor Wang Yi were appointed deputy leaders.

Members of the group are senior leaders of State Council departments.

Routine works of the group will be undertaken by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the National Development and Reform Commission.
