Premier Li Keqiang has sent acongratulatory letter to UK Prime Minister Theresa May on her re-election.
In the letter, sent on June 30, Premier Li expressed his appreciation towards Theresa’s efforts in developing relations with China since she took office in July last year. He said, as China and the UK were two influential countries in the world, China attached great importance to the bilateral relations, and was glad to see close high-level exchanges, wide deepened pragmatic cooperation and robust people-to-people exchanges.
“The Chinese government is willing to take the opportunity of the 45th anniversary of the China-UK diplomatic relations to further push forward pragmatic cooperation,” Premier Li said.
He further invited the UK Prime Minister to visit China and attend the annual meeting of prime ministers between the two countries this year.
