Both sides have the same goal and concept under the “16+1 cooperation” framework, he said. He also expressed the will for closer cooperation to add new driving power to regional and bilateral economic development.

Vucic spoke highly of Premier Li’s speech delivered at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Summer Davos Forum. The Serbian side attaches great importance to China-Serbia relations, and is willing to learn development experiences from China, he said.

The Belt and Road Initiative is mutually beneficial, with related projects significantly promoting Serbia’s economy, Vucic said. Serbia expects to deepen comprehensive cooperation with China, and achieve mutual benefits, he added.
